Happy Thanksgiving! A Time To Be Thankful

By Joe Vitale

While Thanksgiving became an official holiday in 1870, Americans have been taking part in this tradition of gratitude since the Pilgrims arrived on our shores. Since then, our country has experienced wars, depressions, natural disasters, social upheavals, and international crises, and still we come together at this time of year to remember what’s important and be grateful for what we have. This year, in the middle of a global pandemic and a charged election season, we think it’s more important than ever to celebrate Thanksgiving and turn our minds to our many blessings.

Gratitude In Hard Times

When COVID-19 shut our country down back in March, many of us took the time to slow down, reflect on what matters to us, and be grateful for both the small and significant things in life, like health, our homes, those who work in essential businesses, and our schools. Personally, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for our families, our American Retirement Advisors team of employees, and, of course, the many blessings that have come this year, regardless of the circumstances.

Over the past 8 months, your endurance, patience, and perspectives have probably been tested more than ever. We encourage you to use this time of year to take a deep breath, shut out the noise, and celebrate, even if it looks different than usual!

It’s All About Relationships

Many of us have missed countless family gatherings, making memories outside the home, and spending time with friends in 2020, which means we are probably all the more thankful when we do get the rare chance to safely be with loved ones! Even if you are not traveling to join with family this Thanksgiving or your traditions have to be modified, don’t forget to reach out to those in your life and share what they mean to you.

This is our chance to do that with you, our valued clients! We have missed having clients come in and out of our offices on a daily basis and seeing you in person. We are so thankful for the technology that allows us to build our relationships and be a support for you in these times, and we look forward to connecting with you when it is safe to resume life as usual. We appreciate you more than we can put into words.

We hope that your Thanksgiving leaves you refreshed and recharged and ready to look forward with hope. Through it all, we at American Retirement Advisors are here for you and your family, just a phone call away. Reach out to us at (855) 756-5700 or email joe@aradvisorsinc.com with your questions, concerns, or just to touch base before the end of the year. We are thankful for you!
